Georgia B. McKenzie
Georgia B. McKenzie is an Associate at SSLF, LLP. Georgia avidly advocates for her clients while providing effective and compassionate counsel in all areas of family law, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements, custody, parenting time, spousal support, child support, equitable distribution, and post-judgment issues. Though sheis proficient at settling matters outside of court, she does not hesitate to litigate a matter when necessary.
Georgia earned her B.A. from the University of Winnipeg and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. During law school, Georgia served as an Associate Editor for the Fordham International Law Journal and, as a member of Fordham’s Dispute Resolution Society, she was selected to compete in the International Chamber of Commerce mediation competition held in Paris. Georgia was also awarded the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award for her participation in Fordham’s Family Advocacy Clinic, where she fought tirelessly against the New York City Department of Education on behalf of underprivileged students seeking a free, appropriate, public education.
Georgia is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of New York and the New YorkState Bar Association, Family Law Section. She is barred in both New York and New Jersey and has been honored as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in both states in recent years.
